Citco Middle Office Solutions report: Treasury transaction values rise as volatility rears its head in Q3

30 October 2023 -Treasury transaction values among alternatives and institutional funds jumped 7% in Q3, reversing some of the fall seen in the last quarter, while volumes only grew a marginal 2%, according to the latest data from the Citco group of companies’ (Citco).

Citco’s Q3 2023 Middle Office Solutions Report showed treasury transaction values rose to $376B in Q3, up from $348B the previous quarter. Values climbed amid a move in the background by the US Federal Reserve to raise coupon auction sizes and increase supply. Nonetheless, transaction values remain below Q1’s total of $418B.
